Episode 45

45 | The Circleville Letters

Katy watched the Circleville Letters episode of 48 Hours so you don't have to. Learn about the small town in Ohio that was terrorized by anonymous letters about town secrets, starting in 1976 and stopping in 1993. Hundreds of letters were sent, but the main target seems to be Mary Gillispie and her family. Also: two tiny internet mystery amuse bouches from recent times: the mystery celebrity on the early 2000s shower curtain and who didn't thank Mindy Kaling for an $1,800 dinner?

What exactly does an $1,800 dinner entail? What did he and his family order? Was it super fancy steak? Lots of old scotch? Katy's obsessed with knowing. Aaaaaaanyway, who was the River Phoenix of 2000-2008? Please tell MM on Insta, @truecrimewine69. How would you trap someone, Elmer Fudd-style?
